What suppliers miss in Nebraska
- In Nebraska, accreditation does the work a license does elsewhere: an unaccredited supplier of oxygen or prescription devices risks practicing pharmacy without a license.
Does Nebraska require a DME supplier license?
Nebraska has no DME supplier license, and its Health Care Facility Licensure Act lists no HME category. Under the Pharmacy Practice Act, a person accredited by an accrediting body who supplies medical gas, medical gas devices or prescription devices to patients on a medical order is not practicing pharmacy, so needs no pharmacy license.

Do out-of-state suppliers shipping into Nebraska need a license?
- Out-of-state suppliers not covered
- No Nebraska location required
Does Medicare accreditation count in Nebraska?
Accreditation is what keeps a supplier of medical gas or prescription devices outside the practice of pharmacy. Without it, dispensing those items to patients falls under the Pharmacy Practice Act.

Licensing in Nebraska?
Nebraska has no general DME supplier license, but product licenses and Medicaid rules can still apply. We confirm what Nebraska requires for the products you sell, prepare the application and every attachment for your owner or officer to sign, and track it to a decision. A state DME license is $699 per state.
